As indicated in an article related by taisy0, a Japanese information network, from news on PhoneArena in 19th day, Nokia confirmed its plan to sell Nokia-branded smartphones in 2017 in [Capital Markets Day 2016] held in Barcelona, Spain. It was clearly noted in its publicly available introduction materials regarding above event that “Nokia brand’s return to smartphones in 2017”.

Later on 20th day, aisy0 noted report of NPU and reported that Nokia-branded smartphones would be officially released on MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain as soon as 27 February 2017.
As reported, Nokia-branded smartphones would be developed jointly by HMD Global and FIH Mobile, a subsidy of Hon Hai/Foxconn Technology Group, and then be revealed in MWC 2017 by HMD.
Recently, a type of smartphone called “Nokia D1C” appeared on database of various score websites with shell photos leaked. It was said that Nokia D1C adopted aluminum shell, Android 7.0 operating system, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM with screen resolution of 1920×1080 (size is unclear), rear camera of 13 megapixel and front camera of 8 megapixel.
